According to most sources, Dettling was succeeded as Kommandeur of 363 Volksgrenadier Division in Feb 1945 by Generalmajor/Generalleutnant Weber. No first name is given. It could be either Generalmajor Otto Weber or Generalleutnant Friedrich Weber. I have picked Friedrich as Otto is very unknown and Friedrich was in Fuhrer Reserve from February 1945 until he was captured by US Forces. Therefore it is possible that Friedrich took over command in an acting capacity as he was available. However, this is mere speculation on my part!! |
